Join The Bobolink Project, the Champlain Valley Farmer Coalition, and the Vermont Grass Farmers Association for their upcoming farmer event at the Ferrisburgh Town Hall. This event brings together farmers and service providers to explore how working haylands and pastures can support grassland birds, pollinators, and soil and water quality. We’ll cover how to assess fields for bird- and bee-friendly habitat, share practical management strategies, and highlight resources and programs. Farmer and grazer perspectives are central to this discussion. What you share will directly influence future program design, ongoing research, and the development of bird-friendly pasture management strategies. All are welcome, whether you’re new to these ideas or already doing this work.
