Where: Green Mountain Girls Farm, 923 Loop Rd, Northfield, VT 05663
At Green Mountain Girls Farm, participants will tour a small yet dynamic patchwork of accessible plots enhanced by the Vermont Ripsower. We’ll look at newly established forage zones seeded with diverse “bioprimed” mixes and hay mulch. Together, we’ll discuss strategies for:
Playing offense: adding chicory, improved plantain varieties, and other forbs to diversify and enrich forage.
Playing defense: managing and mitigating aggressive monoculture plants in newly established and evolving pastures.
This will be a farmer led conversation aimed at learning, sharing experiences, and considering practical approaches for building resilience and diversity in pasture systems.
Regenerative refreshments will fortify participants! Please dress for the weather.
