Restaurant and Retail Partners: Where To Buy

We Sell: Our farmstead cheddar cheese (6-month, 1-year, 2-year, 3-year, clothbound, and smoked), is made exclusively from the milk of our Brown Swiss cows, and is handcrafted at the farm in our historic Farm Barn. The dairy is also Certified Humane and GMO-free. Our beef, lamb, and eggs are pasture-raised. The woodlands that produce our maple syrup and lumber are Green Certified by the American Tree Farm System, and the seven-acre Market Garden that produces our vegetables and fruits are certified organic by the Northeast Organic Farming Association.

Farm Description: Shelburne Farms in an education nonprofit on a mission to inspire and cultivate learning for a sustainable future. Our home campus is a 1,400-acre diversified farm, forest, and National Historic Landmark along the shores of Lake Champlain. The farm practices regenerative agriculture to craft its products, including farmstead cheddar cheese from the milk of 110 purebred Brown Swiss cows, pasture-raised beef and lamb, as well as pure maple syrup, eggs, lumber, and organic vegetables, fruits, and flowers from our seven-acre Market Garden. These products are available onsite at our Farm Store and Welcome Center, and the cheese and maple syrup are also available through mail order. The working farm and its products together form a living classroom where learners can explore their relationship to agricultural landscapes and natural cycles.
