Water Quality & Biodiversity Protection on a Grazing Farm

Register Here

Bruce and Carol of Bobolink Farm will walk through their new covered barnyard for sheep — built after a decade on an outside bedded pack. They'll cover how water quality grants helped fund the project, the impact on nutrient runoff, animal health, feed waste, and day-to-day labor. They'll also share why overwintering on pasture didn't work for their operation and demonstrate their grazing system and approach to pasture soil health. This is event is being put on in collaboration with Winooski NRCD, UVM Extension, and VT Grass Farmers Association.
