The Spectacular Soil Sponge

Register Here

Where: Shelburne Farms

Free, Registration Required

Have you ever heard of the "soil sponge?" Join UVM Field Naturalist master's student Lena Andrews at Shelburne Farms to explore what makes a soil sponge, how grazing livestock impacts the hydrology of this place, and why it matters!

Bring your grazing questions, any tools you use for observing the land around you, and clothing/footwear to be comfortable outdoors for two hours. Mobility accommodations are available.

This program is made possible by the generous support of The Forrest C. and Frances H. Lattner Foundation.
